Aisling Ranch is founded by Megan (PHA judge and GCSA judge) and Andrew Spiess and is a sister to Aisling Farm Gypsy horses in Ossipee, NH. Aisling Farm in NH focuses on the importing and breeding aspect of Gypsy horses whereas here, at Aisling Ranch we specialize in the training and competing of the Gypsy horses as well as all other horse breeds that are brought to us for training. Megan spent her years growing up around horses training under some of the best credentialed trainers in New England in dressage and H/J. She started trick training in high school and is completely self-taught with succes in bowing, spanish walk, sitting, laying down, smiling and waving. All horses are schooled at their own pace and abilities using natural horsemanship techniques.
Aisling (pronounced "Ash-Lin") means to dream or to envision, and that is exactly what we do when it comes to the breeding, training, and selling of this ancient and magnificent breed as well as the training of other breeds brought to us here by clientele. We are always looking to better ourselves, our horses, and services we offer to bring out the best in our relationships with horse and human. From equine to human, you are family at our small facility from the time you step foot (or hoof) here and will always be treated with professionalism, integrity, care, and concern.
The horse world can be a confusing, and sometimes frustrating, world to break into as well as live in. We strive to form trusting relations with people and educate those who seek knowledge in all aspects of horse ownership, care, and management. We are passionate about horses and we train for a harmoniously balanced relationship with both horse and human. We refuse to take any part in damaging gossip that heavily exists amongst and within the breed associations because we firmly believe in honor and integrity and simply enjoying the love of horses.
